Bierens has in-house attorneys who specialize in both extrajudicial and judicial international debt collection cases. Our lawyers and attorneys work on a contingency fee for out of court collections. During the judicial phase we work on an hourly fee or fixed price. Before taking legal steps we will always provide you with an honest advice on whether it is profitable for you to proceed with legal steps or not.
Please find below how we work and our legal fees.
1. Extrajudicial phase:
There are usually 3 scenarios when handling your case during the extrajudicial phase. The principle amount is collected; the principle amount is partly collected or in the worst and rarest case, the principle amount is not collected. We will further explain this below.
|Scenario 1: Debtor pays at least the principal amount:||You will receive 80%-100% of your principal amount, depending on your conditions and legislation in your debtor's country. On average, you will receive 95% of the principal amount.
|Scenario 2: Debtor pays less than the principal amount:||You will receive an invoice based on the collected amount:
Payment collected up to $ 25,000 | 20%
Payment collected between $ 25,000 and $ 50,000 | 17,50%
Payment collected between $ 50,000 and $ 100,000 | 15%
On the excess | 12,50%
|Scenario 3: Debtor pays nothing:||You pay $ 0|
