Expansion of International Practice: Attorney Maria Marquezini Cara
Our international practice is growing! More and more companies are dealing with international debt collection. There is also increasing demand for international debt collection specialists. Recently, we have strengthened our international team with debt collection attorneys and specialists from various countries. Since the fall of 2017, the Brazilian attorney Maria Marquezini Cara is part of our international team. Maria handles debtors located in Portugal and Brazil.
Very talented
Maria Marquezini Cara grew up in Brazil and studied law at the university of Sao Paulo. After she finished her studies, she came to the Netherlands. Maria could participate in the ‘Orange Tulip Scholarship’. This is a scholarship that gives very talented students the opportunity to study in the Netherlands. Maria studied ‘International and European Law’ with a specialization in ‘European Law Advanced’ at the University of Nijmegen.
Debt collection in Portugal
Due to an exchange program with Germany, it quickly became clear to Maria that she wanted to work in an international environment. After completing her Masters in Law, she joined the Portuguese desk at Bierens. Our Portuguese desk has experienced a substantial growth in the past year. We are happy to welcome Maria to our international team.
