TO A BETTER WORLD
Every entrepreneur needs to be rewarded for their efforts. When invoices remain unpaid, we do what we can to ensure that the entrepreneur gets paid what is due to them. We do this with respect for our staff, clients and society.
After all, a healthy economy benefits from entrepreneurs who care about corporate social responsibility.
Our CSR benchmarks
We want to be a healthy enterprise to our staff, our clients and to society. So, our CSR policy contains four benchmarks:
1. IMPROVE THE PAYMENT BEHAVIOUR OF COMPANIES
We believe in an economy centred around honest business transactions;
2. TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN OUR PEOPLE
Our strength lies in our staff. They have to be able to work in an inspiring environment;
3. RESPECT FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT
We make sure that our operational management causes as little damage as possible to the environment;
4. INVOLVEMENT WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
We like to make a valuable contribution to our community.
From self-made scribbling pads to digital files
Lawyers have a strong preference for working with paper files. So many law firms are filled with large filing cabinets full of paper files. But not Bierens. Working digitally has been the norm for years here. Clients are brought up to date through our online web portal on the status of their case. This is how we fight against paper waste. But even in the day of the typewriter we avoided wasting paper. In those days, the back of typed pages were re-used to scribble notes and to take down the minutes. Writing pads were never purchased. This is how we have been conscientious about our use of paper since 1952. Because corporate social responsibility is an enduring concept.
